Much of the work currently being done through Safe Communities is focusing on why so many young people are getting caught up in a gang-lifestyle and what can be done to prevent them from becoming victims or members of gangs. We believe the most effective way in dealing with gangs is through a balanced approach that encompasses awareness, prevention, intervention and enforcement.
