The Medical Examiner's office received numerous phone calls and a solid lead after photographs of a man were released to media on Nov. 1, 2007. The tip led investigators to the man's dental records. Medical x-rays confirmed the identification of Douglas Porter who had been living in Calgary.
The Medical Examiner's office has not been able to locate any family members of the deceased and would appreciate any information that will help to do so.

The Medical Examiner’s office received numerous phone calls and a number of solid leads after photographs of a man were released to media on June 1. The tips led investigators to the man's family. Medical x-rays confirmed the identification of Kenneth (Kenny) Cardinal, of Lac La Biche.

The Medical Examiner's office received numerous phone calls and a number of solid leads after the man's photograph was released to media in May. The tips led investigators to the man's family in Ontario. DNA tests confirmed the 60-year-old's identity as Leonard Lee Smith of Edmonton.

The body of a adult male was found July 4, 2004 on the south bank of
the North Saskatchewan River north of Hairy Hill, Alberta. The man's
age was estimated to be between 40 and 50 years. |
