Medical benefits are those you can get without necessarily suing anybody, and sometimes even if you were at fault.

You can apply to MVAC to reimburse you for your actual expenses, up to a maximum of $95,000 for hospital, medical treatment, ambulance services, certain appliances, and rehabilitation. These costs will not be reimbursed by Motor Vehicle Accident Claims if they are covered by medicare or any insurance, including your own automobile insurance policy. You must sign a statutory declaration agreeing that out of any settlement you receive from a lawsuit against the person who caused the accident, you will repay MVAC the medical benefits paid on your behalf. If you are involved in a hit-and-run accident or a single vehicle accident, you may still qualify for benefits.
